The Fronto / Dark Air Cured (CLO) is an air cured tobacco leaf grown in Canada. This leaf is very large, and carries a milk chocolate brown color, that will only darken with age. Because it was grown farther north, the color of this leaf will be lighter in color, and thinner in texture overall.
Leaf preference varies from location to location, so it is always recommended that you try a selection of a few different leaves, to see which you, or your customers, prefer most! Each type of leaf has 1/4lb sample sizes available.
Our Dark Air Cured Fronto Leaf (CLO) is one of many varieties of leaf called Grabba, Red Rose, Red Leaf, Fronto, Funta, and other similar terms that all mean the same thing - that it is a dark thick tobacco leaf, popular in the Caribbean, commonly used for crushing or blending. It provides a strong, bold smoke that is often referred to as ‘hot’, or with a strong ‘hit’.
This type of leaf is commonly sold either by the leaf, or by the pound in many stores. Although primarily used to mix with, it is also possible to roll with some of the thinner varieties of Dark Air Cured leaf.

I bought the sample pack... I have been so impressed by this wonderful product. A velvet leaf is to be found with this... Is soft felt texture is very luxurious in its appearance and hand-feel. The smell is very Earthy, warm, rich and soft. Not very bold but it taste would suggest other. The taste is very intelligent, modest , and bold... Dont discard these stems -- you get a very robust notes of its Earthy scent appeal(with the stems). The leaf is very subtle and a soft cherry-like taste to this modest specimen. A very smart, intelligent plant. Its softness and subtle-ness would make it good for a mixer... But it is a very satisfying plant, alone.
