Since Nicaragua's soil and climate are just so, the Criollo 98 grown Aged Nicaraguan Ligero Long Filler offers a distinct flavor and a certain "kick" that many cigar smokers know and love. This variety was grown in the Jalapa region of Nicaragua.
This is a premium cigar filler that is used in many hand-rolled premium cigar filler blends. Roll your own cigars!
This Nicaraguan Ligero Cigar Long Filler is aged to perfection.
Being the thicker and stronger of the long filler types, the Nicaraguan ligero is what provides the bold flavor and spice in premium cigars, even more so than other ligeros grown in other regions.
Being a leaf from the last priming, our Nicaraguan Ligero tobacco leaf is thicker and stronger than its counterpart, the Nicaraguan seco tobacco leaf. This leaf arrives packed in flat stacks. The benefit of this format is that you can immediately roll these leaves into a cigar binder.
This leaf is grown from the Criollo 98 tobacco seed, comes from the region of Jalapa. This remote region near Honduras is known for its humid microclimate, and sandy soil that is very similar to the Vuelta Abajo or Pinar del Rio region in Cuba. These soft, reddish colored leaves carry a sweet strength and aroma, and a smooth and elegant texture.
"The dark fire cured remains a winner, but a little goes a long way in my pipe blends. One half leaf rolled with about two big bright leaves and then scissored makes a decent substitute for Three Nuns or Escudo.
My favorite so far is your Canadian flue cured shredded and blended with modest amounts of Latakia and Perique. Almost indistinguishable from the former Dunhill London Mixtures and way better than the current musty German or Danish versions now available.
A REAL treat is any of your bright leaf products tightly rolled with an UNrolled bit of Gawith and Hoggarth Black Irish Twist and then sliced. Makes a grand substitute for many tobaccos which have just gone away. "
