The Fronto / Dark Air Cured (J1) is often a very dark, very thick air cured tobacco leaf, but is not a wrapper grade tobacco. The J1 Grade name signifies that it was grown southwest of Louisville, KY, USA. This leaf is often one of the largest, and one of the darkest leaves we carry, but as with any natural leaf, this can vary slightly. This leaf has a very dark chocolate brown color on top, with a lighter color on the underneath. Due to its large size, it is to be expected that there will be slightly more damages than other Dark Air Cured.
The Fronto / Dark Air Cured (ALO) is a dark, thick air cured tobacco leaf. The ALO Grade name signifies that it was grown in-between Tennessee and Kentucky, USA. This leaf is large, and carries a medium-dark chocolate brown color, only to continue to darken with age.
Our Dark Air Cured Tobacco Leaf (LL) is a 2LS grade, which means it is a binder leaf. For wraps and grabba, there is still plenty of leaf to use; but, overall most leaves will have at least one hole making it a binder grade.
Our Dark Fire Cured Tobacco Leaf is one of the darkest tobacco leaves offered at Leaf Only. The use of large fires to cure the tobacco leaves it with a pungent smoke-like smell and flavor. Although this leaf is traditionally used to make chewing tobacco, snuff, snus, and in pipe blends; some of our customers have enjoyed this leaf in a hookah blend, or as a roll-your-own fronto leaf, comparable to our Dark Air Cured Tobacco Leaf, despite it's strong smell and flavor.
Our Light Fire Cured (R) Tobacco Leaf can be described as a wonderful middle ground between the Dark Air Cured and Dark Fire Cured.
Our 2019 USA Virginia Flue Cured Tobacco is a more robust, full flavored tobacco leaf. This leaf arrives with your standard cigarette tobacco smell and produces a smoke similar to a Red Marlboro. This crop is similar to our American Virginia Flue Cured 2018 crop in body and flavor.
Mainly used to make cigarette tobacco leaf blends a bit stronger, the Burley Whole Leaf Tobacco is also used for cigar filler, pipe blends, and chewing tobacco leaf. These tobacco leaves arrive with an amazingly fresh, but chocolatey aroma.
Fronto tobacco leaf, sometimes known as grabba leaf, or fanta leaf, is a tobacco wrapper leaf sold by the individual leaf or by the pound. The leaf should be in good condition, and enjoyed by its users.
The QB-52 Fronto Leaf Wrapper is yet another extremely popular variety of fronto leaf that is primarily sold by the leaf at city convenience stores and specialty shops. This variety of fronto leaf is of high, wrapper leaf quality, with a slightly lighter color and thickness compared to our Fronto / Dark Air Cured Tobacco Leaf. This leaf has been aged longer than the regular QB-52 Fronto Wrapper, to make it darker. This can cause parts of the leaf to be black from the process. This is something special we have been doing at Leaf Only to give our customers even more options.

For wraps and grabba, there is still plenty of leaf to use; but, overall most leaves will have at least a couple of rips and holes or discoloration making it a binder grade. This leaf is often one of the largest, and one of the darkest leaves we carry, but as with any natural leaf, this can vary slightly.
The Aged Dark Air Cured is a dark, thick air cured tobacco leaf. This leaf has a medium to dark chocolate brown color on top with a somewhat lighter color on the underside. This leaf is very similar to the Dark Air Cured (J1), but an older crop year. Due to this time given to age, you might find that this leaf has a slightly more mellow taste.
The Fronto / Dark Air Cured (CLO) is an air cured tobacco leaf grown in Canada. This leaf is very large, and carries a milk chocolate brown color, that will only darken with age. Because it was grown farther north, the color of this leaf will be lighter in color, and thinner in texture overall.
Our Light Fire Cured Tobacco Leaf can be described as a wonderful middle ground between the Dark Air Cured and Dark Fire Cured.
