Fronto / Grabba Tobacco Leaves By The Pound
The Fronto / Dark Air Cured (ALO) is a dark, thick air cured tobacco leaf. The ALO Grade name signifies that it was grown in-between Tennessee and Kentucky, USA. This leaf is large, and carries a medium-dark chocolate brown color, only to continue to darken with age.
The Fronto / Dark Air Cured (CLO) is an air cured tobacco leaf grown in Canada. This leaf is very large, and carries a milk chocolate brown color, that will only darken with age. Because it was grown farther north, the color of this leaf will be lighter in color, and thinner in texture overall.
The Fronto / Dark Air Cured (J1) is often a very dark, very thick air cured tobacco leaf, but is not a wrapper grade tobacco. The J1 Grade name signifies that it was grown southwest of Louisville, KY, USA. This leaf is often one of the largest, and one of the darkest leaves we carry, but as with any natural leaf, this can vary slightly. This leaf has a very dark chocolate brown color on top, with a lighter color on the underneath. Due to its large size, it is to be expected that there will be slightly more damages than other Dark Air Cured.
The Fronto / Dark Air Cured (J2) is often a very dark, very thick air cured tobacco leaf, but is not a wrapper grade tobacco. Our Dark Air Cured (J2) is a 2LS grade, which means it is a binder grade leaf. For wraps and grabba, there is still plenty of leaf to use; but, overall most leaves will have at least a couple of rips and holes or discoloration making it a binder grade. This leaf is often one of the largest, and one of the darkest leaves we carry, but as with any natural leaf, this can vary slightly.
Fronto tobacco leaf, sometimes known as grabba leaf, or fanta leaf, is a tobacco wrapper leaf sold by the individual leaf or by the pound. The leaf should be in good condition, and enjoyed by its users.
The QB-52 Fronto Leaf Wrapper is yet another extremely popular variety of fronto leaf that is primarily sold by the leaf at city convenience stores and specialty shops. This variety of fronto leaf is of high, wrapper leaf quality, with a slightly lighter color and thickness compared to our Fronto / Dark Air Cured Tobacco Leaf. This leaf has been aged longer than the regular QB-52 Fronto Wrapper, to make it darker. This can cause parts of the leaf to be black from the process. This is something special we have been doing at Leaf Only to give our customers even more options.
Our PA-KY Fronto Leaf is a medium bodied, medium brown, Fronto grade leaf. This Kentucky grown PA Broadleaf tobacco leaf is similar in grade, color, body and burn to our popular QB-52 Fronto Wrapper .
Our CT Fronto Leaf is a medium bodied, dark chocolate colored leaf. Connecticut grown tobacco leaf is usually known for being premium cigar wrapper, so finding CT broadleaf graded for fronto is unusual! Although more expensive than other fronto leaves, Connecticut grown tobacco is usually MUCH more expensive as you can see with our other Connecticut Leaves (1DW, Shade, etc.).
Our Dark Fire Cured Tobacco Leaf is one of the darkest tobacco leaves offered at Leaf Only. The use of large fires to cure the tobacco leaves it with a pungent smoke-like smell and flavor. Although this leaf is traditionally used to make chewing tobacco, snuff, snus, and in pipe blends; some of our customers have enjoyed this leaf in a hookah blend, or as a roll-your-own fronto leaf, comparable to our Dark Air Cured Tobacco Leaf, despite it's strong smell and flavor.
Our Light Fire Cured (R) Tobacco Leaf can be described as a wonderful middle ground between the Dark Air Cured and Dark Fire Cured.
Our Dark Air Cured Tobacco Leaf (LL) is a 2LS grade, which means it is a binder leaf. For wraps and grabba, there is still plenty of leaf to use; but, overall most leaves will have at least one hole making it a binder grade.
Our QB-52 (L) Grade Tobacco is a lower quality version of our classic, popular QB-52 Fronto Leaf Wrappers.
Our Habano 2000 Seed Ecuadorian Ligero Shade Wrapper is similar to its sister leaf, the Ecuadorian Seco and Viso Shade Wrapper, but it is much darker and thicker. Visually, it looks similar to our Mexican San Andres Wrapper, but as usual has its own Ecuadorian flavor.
Our Habano 2000 Seed Ecuadorian Viso Shade Wrapper is similar to it's sister leaf, the Seco Shade Wrapper, but it is somewhat darker and thicker. Visually, it's almost like a cross between CT Shade and the 1DW Maduro.

Candela Leaf is an incredibly rare tobacco leaf, known primarily for its looks! The green color of this leaf is obtained by quickly harvesting, and speed-drying the crop at a high temperature.

The Fronto / Dark Air Cured (GR) is the highest quality variety of Dark Air Cured tobacco we carry. This leaf, slightly thinner than other Dark Air Cured, has a very high percentage of perfect or near perfect leaves, which is rare for D.A.C.
This leaf comes tied in bundles called 'Hands', and is sorted to have a more consistent color and even tone throughout. The color of this leaf will only darken with age.
The 2015 QB-52 Fronto Leaf Wrapper is yet another variety of our extremely popular Fronto leaf wrapper. This leaf has been aged longer than the regular and dark QB-52 Fronto Wrappers, to give it a dark chocolate brown color. The PA Oscuro Wrapper is a beautiful dark chocolate wrapper leaf grown in Pennsylvania, USA. This variety of tobacco leaf is of high, wrapper leaf quality, with a slightly thinner composition than our CT 1DW / Maduro, but is similar in color.
This grade of CT Fronto is grown from a havana seed. This leaf's consistency and quality is still comparable to the CT Fronto Leaf (M-27), but the Havana seed gives it a slightly different flavor profile and generally produces smaller leaves.
Our Light Fire Cured Tobacco Leaf can be described as a wonderful middle ground between the Dark Air Cured and Dark Fire Cured.

The Aged Dark Air Cured is a dark, thick air cured tobacco leaf. This leaf has a medium to dark chocolate brown color on top with a somewhat lighter color on the underside. This leaf is very similar to the Dark Air Cured (J1), but an older crop year. Due to this time given to age, you might find that this leaf has a slightly more mellow taste.
