Description
Our Aged Indonesian Sumatra Long Fillers are aged to perfection. Being quite thin, the Indonesian leaves are generally mild, but also distinct and aromatic. This tobacco plant originates from the island of Sumatra, Indonesia.
The tobacco is grown mostly on very small farms in fields as small as 3 acres. Sumatra is currently grown all over the globe however, most comes from a different hybrid seed that is of a different phenotype. This tobacco is the only Sumatra grown today reminiscent of the original Sumatra grown in the 19th century by Dutch colonizers. These razor thin leaves arrive packed in flat stacks and are ready to use as cigar filler.
The quality of these leaves is usually very high, and we have been told by customers that it can also be used as binder and sometimes wrapper!

Large filler leaves, which showed up in excellent shape, with a distinct aroma, which translated to a distinct smoke, which was popular with several people I gave them to.

You could use 75% or more of the leaves that I got as binder and some as wrappers, they're that good. Frog legged and flat packed the Sumatra is wrapper leaf thin. Medium sweetness with chewy white bread and slight cocoa notes and a very faint rubber flavor.
