CT 2DW Maduro
Our 2DW Maduro tobacco leaf is just like our 1DW, but because it is picked from even higher up on the CT broadleaf plant, the leaves are a bit darker, thicker, and smaller. With lower pricing, it's hard to pass up this dark and chocolatey wrapper leaf.
 | - Connecticut's 2DW Maduro broadleaf excels as a cigar wrapper in taste, cuts clean, and leaves the cigar with a mildly rustic texture.
- 2DW Maduro leaves measure approximately 16 inches long and about 9 inches wide in the center of the leaf.
- Velvety leaf moistens quickly and unfolds smoothly.
- Veins were some-what large (as expected in any maduro) but rolls flat with a rolling pin without tearing the leaf.
- As a filler: it's bold, strong, and smooth.
- As a binder: it has strong holding power, but has definite vein lines when rolled.
- Because this leaf is picked from the extreme top of the CT broad leaf plant, the leaves tend to be smaller than average tobacco leaves - even more-so than our 1DW leaf variety. However, what this leaf lacks in size, it makes up in flavor and color! This leaf is a great value!
